The Plumbers/Steamfitters
Local Union 486 Joint Journeyman and Apprentice Training Facility
trains skilled, certified plumber/steamfitter craftsmen. The five-year
program, provided at no cost to qualified applicants, combines intensive
technical classroom instruction at the school's state-of-the-art
facility with on-the-job training. As jobs become available, apprentices
are placed with participating contractors signatory to an agreement
with Plumbers/Steamfitters Local 486. Our relationship with COUNT
assures labor-management harmony and the highest skills within the
crafts.
Applicants
must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma, be a graduating
senior or have a GED. They must also successfully complete a math
